Demi got a glow up!

Do you know Demi Lovato’s story? I personally have this in my library and my students love it.

Lovato’s talents have brought them fame, but happiness hasn’t come easy. Through their struggles with personal tragedy, mental health and substance abuse, it has been a long road. Follow Demi on their journey of activism, benevolence and finally self love. Demi is not a perfect role model, but their story is fascinating and many of your students will relate to them. From their abusive, mentally ill father to their own battle with mental illness, eating disorders, self-harm, and gender dysphoria. This books uses the non binary pronoun “elle” once Demi comes out as non binary. Make your class a more inclusive place by providing representation in your reading materials!
